Management Team

Linda S. Bowen — Managing Director
Prior to assuming her current position in overseeing Certus Claims, Ms. Bowen spent 20 years in the insurance industry where she developed technical and strategic claims, litigation and management expertise. Linda managed several branch, regional and national claim operations including various commercial and specialty assignments with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, the St. Paul Companies, Physician’s Protective Trust Fund and CAMICO Mutual Insurance Company, a premiere insurer of Certified Public Accountants.

Linda additionally served as Managing Consultant for Inswork Solutions providing litigation, case management, special project and expert witness services to the legal and insurance professions. Her areas of specialization include the analysis and negotiation of complex and high profile professional liability and business litigation, commercial general liability, employment practices, automobile liability and boutique coverages. Linda’s extensive management experience includes responsibility for technical, financial and customer service standards and initiatives including quality control and auditing, reserve management, liability and damage evaluations, expense and litigation management, trial and settlement strategies, post-trial analyses, risk reduction, product development and marketing.

Ms. Bowen obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. She also attended the Executive Management Program at Columbia University and studied at the John Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University.

Libby McGrevey — Claim & Operations Supervisor
Ms. McGrevey has 23 years of experience in the insurance claims industry. Prior to joining the management team at Certus Claims, Libby spent 11 years with Safeco Insurance Companies where she served in various roles as a Multi-line Adjuster, Claims Representative and Claims Supervisor. She also was with Carl Warren & Co. for 10 years where she was actively involved with the hospitality / hotel and public entity programs there.

Libby brings that wealth of expertise to her position with Certus Claims. She has handled litigated claims throughout her career and in most geographic regions. Libby’s areas of specialization include severity matters involving general liability, auto liability, first party property, concurrent causation /land subsidence, various employment-related claims and catastrophe matters, including earthquake, fire and riots. She has also handled and directed various field investigations. Libby has developed and implemented client program protocols, manuals and related training.

Ms. McGrevey earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the California State University at Northridge and has continued studies in various claims technical, litigation and management curriculum. She is a licensed adjuster in the majority of states which require them.

Nancy Fuller – Executive Claims Specialist
Ms. Fuller has 23 years of claims experience beginning as a Multi-line Adjuster at Safeco. She worked at both Gaebel, Watkins & Butner (independent adjusters) and Republic Insurance Company before returning to Safeco to supervise its Commercial Claims Unit.  Ms. Fuller also worked for Carl Warren & Co. independent adjusting firm from 1992-2002 before joining Certus Claims.

She has handled a variety of litigated claims over her claims career, including:  general and auto liability, commercial liability, dental malpractice, Casino high exposure cases, mold exposure and mold class action lawsuits.

Ms. Fuller has worked on the hospitality programs for the past 12 years, including their supervision.

She has handled litigated files throughout the United States and is a licensed adjuster in California, New York, Arkansas, Georgia, and Mississippi.

Ms. Fuller graduated from Northern Arizona University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. She has also completed coursework toward the ARM designation.

Paula Geeting - Senior Claims Specialist
Ms Geeting has 21 years experience in the insurance claims industry and holds several state licenses. Prior to beginning work at Certus Claims Administration, Ms Geeting spent 6 years at Carl Warren & Co where she was responsible for handling public entity claims, as well as hospitality claims.

Ms Geeting began her career at Travelers Insurance Company where she spent 14 years as a multi-line adjuster, supervisor, resident adjuster, and resident supervisor.  She was responsible for setting up and running an investigative field office and training its staff.  She has extensive expertise in real estate errors and omissions litigation as well as products litigation, construction defect and discrimination matters.

Ms Geeting obtained her Bachelor of Arts at California State University at Northridge. 

Chessa Gill - Claims Specialist
Ms. Gill has 23 years of experience in the insurance claims industry. Prior to joining Certus Claims, Chessa worked with Safeco and American Insurance Company as a Multi-line Adjuster and Claims Supervisor. She was with Carl Warren & Co. for 13 years specializing in public entity and hospitality programs.

Ms. Gill handles complex litigation in a multitude of geographical areas throughout the country, including wrongful death and sexual assault. She has expertise in first party property, fire, land subsidence, and general liability.

Ms. Gill earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis, as well as a graduate degree in Education.   She has continued studies in litigation, insurance, and management curriculum.  She is a licensed adjuster in the majority of states which require one.

Rose Mary Jimenez - Claims Specialist
Ms. Jimenez has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining the Certus Claims team, Rose Mary spent 16 years with CIGNA where she served in various roles in the Underwriting Department, in the Claims Department and as a Multi-line Adjuster. While with CIGNA she was actively involved with the movie theatre program. She was also with Carl Warren & Company for 2 years where she was actively engaged with the hospitality/hotel and public entity programs.

Rose Mary is a specialist in the area of litigated claim files in many geographic regions, including complex and high profile matters.  Her areas of specialization include general liability and auto liability. Rose Mary has handled and directed various field investigations.  In advising policyholders, Rose Mary has developed and implemented a camera/incident report kit for clients.

A. Marc Mostajo – Claims Specialist
Mr. Mostajo has been in the insurance industry since 1986.  His career began with Farmer’s Insurance Company as a field auto appraiser.  Marc later moved on to Transamerica Insurance and stayed on board as the company through several acquisitions/mergers.  In 2000 Marc joined Carl Warren and Company before coming on board to occupy his current role with Certus Claims.

Over the years, Marc has expanded his insurance knowledge through the handling of bodily injury and litigated cases.  Marc came to Certus Claims as an experienced Litigation Specialist, having previously managed a litigation unit.  Marc has also managed a field casualty unit.  He is experienced in multi-line claim matters including cases involving fatalities, catastrophic injuries, defamation, libel, slander, landslides and shootings.  Marc also has extensive background in handling insurance coverage issues.

Marc has handled claims in many states throughout the nation. He is currently licensed in several states.   Mr. Mostajo graduated from the University of California at Davis in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics.

Janice Orlowski CPCU, ARM – Claims  Specialist
Ms. Orlowski has more than 25 years in the insurance claims industry. Her experience prior to Certus Claims Administration included claims adjusting and supervisory responsibilities with several insurers, including Travelers, Fireman’s Fund and Prudential.  Janice has expertise in all areas of general liability and auto insurance and has served on the Arbitration Forums panel. She is particularly adept at prompt claim handling and equitable resolution of complex claims, including litigated files. Ms. Orlowski is licensed in California, New York, Florida, Texas and several other states that require licensing.

Janice graduated from State University College at Buffalo. She has also received designations as a CPCU (Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter) and ARM (Associate in Risk Management).

Richard Stutheit - Claims Specialist
Richard has 22 years experience adjusting and managing personal and commercial lines claims, including working with Progressive Insurance, Maryland Casualty and Fireman’s Fund.  Richard holds a Private Investigators license in the State of California and is a Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIF).  He is a licensed adjuster in many states coast to coast.

As a Special Investigation Unit (SIU) manager with Fireman’s Fund, Richard conducted seminars and training sessions in fraud awareness for attorneys and claims representatives and supervised international investigations.

Richard is also an ICAR certified appraiser for personal and commercial vehicles with experience in writing and supervising over ten thousand appraisals. He has testified as an auto appraisal expert in fraud cases. Richard has also handled various litigated claims.

Roxanna Talaugon — Associate Claims Specialist, AIS
Ms. Talaugon has been in the insurance claims business for the past 7 years, beginning with Carl Warren & Company in 1996 where she attended IEA classes to earn her Associate in Insurance Services designation.  Roxy joined Certus Claims in her current Associate Claims Specialist role in 2002.  Prior to working in insurance claims, Roxy held a variety of management positions in Accounting departments for healthcare and defense research firms.

Roxy specializes in auto property and general liability property claim files. She is currently licensed in over 15 states and continues her quest for additional licensing.  Roxy has a detail oriented background that brings accuracy and experienced communication skills to add to her overall servicing of claims  and customer relations.

Joan McLaren, Office Administrative Supervisor
Joan has worked in the Claims Specialist field for 19 ½ years, including 18 years with Carl Warren & Company.  Joan also spent 10 years as a legal secretary / assistant in Los Angeles for Getz, Aikens & Manning (now Bruder, Leaver & Berberich) and three years as a legal secretary in Oxnard for Lowthorp, Richards, McMillan, Conway & Templeman.

Joan attended El Camino College and obtained her AA degree at Oxnard College.
